I lived through the black ice drive!
I figured I would write something to help/ describe my recent issues with college.
Have you ever wondered about your life>? Wondered how you will pay for life?
I have….
I graduated in Oregon in 2006 and moved to Tennessee. One thing I will advise any student, if you want to go to college- stay in the state you graduated in. Remarkable thing about the state you graduate in…they have all kinds of scholarships for you to obtain.
I am currently studying to be a Radiologist Technician. I took 6 classes my first semester. Human Anat & Phys 1 Lect & Lab, Chem Lect and Lab, Algebra, and Composition. Everyone said I was crazy for taking these classes all together. Just a incite – NEVER let anyone make you feel like you can not do something with Negativity…
Anyway- I ended with 2 A’s 2 B’s and 2 C’s…
This semester I am doing the impossible- as ppl tell me-
Human Anatomy 2 Lect & Lab, Calculus, Humanities, Sociology, and Microbiology.
Shew! I know… crazyNESS~!
The only other stress then school I have to worry about is Fall semester, and yes I am already worrying about that.
Students…you can never wait till last minute to worry about grades, money, etc.
Next semester I am planning on moving 4hours away from where I currently am to get into a Radiology Program that is suppose to be a fantastic program of 2 years vs the 4yr program here.
I have to worry about coming up with the means to let me live. The head of the program told me if you work in this program- more than likely you will flunk out…..
Sooooo- currently I am filling out scholarships and waiting on my W-2 to fill out FAFSA… Then I will be going nutttttsssss!!!! You can follow me on this journey If you want.
I know with God all things are possible- so I believe that doors will be opened and finances will be provided.
I have included scholarships that are for RTs- for any of you searching and interested in Radiology field…
Jerman- Cahoon Student Scholarship
Royce Osborn Minority Student Scholarship
Varian Radiation Therapy Student Scholarship
Siemens Clinical Advancement Scholarship
Howard S Stern Scholarship
Mack Radiological Tech Scholarship
Anna Mae O’Reilly
AHRA Education Foundation Broadley Scholarship
Until Next time-

Ok.. So i started this blog in hopes to write down the 4-1-1 to starting college and figuring out just exactly what you want to do with your life.
I will admit I can not write a full post about that right now because... last night we had freezing rain. . .
Lets just put it this way- the black top was an ice rink.
Now it is warming up so since I am at a friends I need to get in my car and drive 45min home.
If you do not see a post after this one... I am a goner.
If I make it... there will be a post shortly following this one in regards to my lifes lessons and current life lessons. I will write on my journey through the college life.
I will just leave you with one thing I have realized- before I stop....
If you do not have a degree, or are thinking about college- heres a heads up...
without a degree you are looking at struggle, pain, and debt.
So put on some grown up panties and GO TO SCHOOL!
There is always a way.
I will explain some later.....But without a degree, you will never make enough to live the way you would like to live....
you will live payday to payday...struggling-
That is partially why I call this Blog- Young and College Bound.........
(because no matter what- I gotta get a degree- no matter what- i gotta go to college.... so i bound- but in a good and fabulous way )
